Bar Italia in its present form was open as a coffee shop in 1949 by the Polledri family, and is still owned by Veronica and Anthony Polledri today. Bar Italia was awarded the 2010 London Lifestyle Awards - London Coffee Shop of the Year
For those of you who are not familiar with this bar is that you hardly see this bar closed. As far as I remember from the early 70s this bar has been opened and always tens if not hundreds are gathered around it round the clock with possible exception of hour or so around 4 or 5 am for cleaning purposes I understand. This is on one those occasions and I am honoured to have this image awarded and found itself in schmap.com.
